Linda Sanders, FAIA

Ms. Sanders, Dean of the College of Environmental Design, California Polytechnic University, Pomona, since 1996, is also a member of the California State Board of Architecture, IDP Competency Task Force and a member of the Carnegie Mellon Advisory Board.These are only the most recent and current of Ms. Sanders many contributions to the profession of architecture. Her service has been recognized with a number of honors and awards and her academic achievements as professor, administrator span a number of years. Her commitment to the education and professional advancement of young professionals in the field of architecture is unsurpassed. |

Lee Hershberger, AIA

A USC School of Architecture graduate, Mr. Hershberger joined the Pasadena & Foothill chapter in 1961. Lee embodies the philosophy and sensibilities of the Chapters vision. Known for his scrupulous attention to detail and understanding of scale, Mr. Hershbergers work is now focused on residential design and historic preservation. He is a principal of his own firm and an award-winning architect and planner who has done many local projects for commercial and institutional clients. |

Stuart Denker Design Consultants, Baywood Park, Ca.
A consummate designer who has consulted with a number of the Pasadena & Foothill Chapter member firms, Mr. Denker is known for his interiors, product design graphics and environmental design. He is a designer with a long association with the firm of Smith and Williams Architects, as well as a principal in his own firm which has extensive projects in the Southern California region. His early work in industrial design with Ford Motor Company and North American Rockwell has laid the groundwork for his innovative design approach. |

Gregg D. Ander, FAIA

Gregg D. Ander is the Chief Architect for the Customer Service Business Unit of Southern California Edison. He is the author of over 65 technical and design related articles and was the executive producer of four "Environmental Showcase" television programs for NBC. He was recently awarded the Corporate Architect Award from the California Council of AIA. He was educated at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, Oxford Polytechnic University, and Arizona State University, and is a member of AIA where he is an invited member of the Committee on the Environment (COTE) steering committee and a board member of the Sustainable Building Industry Council (SBIC).He is also a member of IES, and ASHRAE. Mr. Ander also teaches Advanced Environmental Controls at the College of Architecture at California Polytechnic University at Pomona. |

Michael Hricak, FAIA

Michael Hricak began his career at Welton Becket Associates in 1974, serving as a project designer on numerous projects including the restoration of the California State Capitol. Prior to founding Rockefeller/Hricak, he worked as a senior project designer in the Los Angeles office of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, designing retail, commercial and corporate facilities.
Since 1980 he has worked in partnership with Darrell S. Rockefeller in a practice distinguished by the diversity and quality of its work. Through the course of each project, Mr. Hricak coordinates the efforts of the design team providing, direction, analysis, design strategy, and management.
His professional experience with public, institutional, commercial, industrial and private clients includes projects involving historic restoration, adaptive reuse and renovation, multi-unit housing, custom residences, office buildings, corporate headquarters, department stores, retail shops, restaurants, and a wide variety of interiors work. In addition, he has expanded the firms capabilities to include landscape design, signage, graphics and furniture design.
Mr. Hricak graduated, cum laude, in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, from the University of Southern Californias School of Architecture and Fine Arts. After working two years at Welton Becket Associates, he attended Harvard Universitys Graduate School of Design, earning a Master in Architecture degree in 1978.
Mr. Hricak is a senior instructor at UCLA Extension, Architecture, Interior and Environmental Design Program where he has taught since 1982. He has been named Outstanding Instructor on three occasions. He is a member of the AIED Programs Guidance Committee.
Currently a member of the National AIA Board of Directors and Regional Director for the State of California, Mr. Hricak served as 2001 president for the California Council of the AIA and 1996 president of AIA/Los Angeles. He was elevated to the AIA, College of Fellows in 1997.

George Proctor

George Proctor is a Professor of Architecture, in the Department of Architecture at California State Polytechnic University Pomona, where he directs the digital design media curriculum and teaches advanced topic design studios. Mr. Proctor has conducted digital media based design studios at Cal Poly since 1993 when he first joined the faculty as a lecturer. Mr. Proctor holds undergraduate degrees from Cal Poly where he earned the AIA School Medal and Henry Adams Award and the Dean's Award in Urban Planning. Professor Proctor earned his graduate degree from Harvard University, where he studied the application of digital tools to urban design. Professor Proctor is the recipient of a Graham Foundation grant for his work with digital design tool application to a design problem. As a licensed architect he has led and contributed to the design of a number of AIA awarded projects. His experience ranges from custom homes to institutional buildings and urban design projects. Professor Proctor is Chair of the 2002 Association for Computer Aided Design in Architecture (ACADIA) Conference to be conducted at Cal Poly Pomona in October. Mr. Proctor also serves on the Planning Commission and Design Review in the City of San Juan Capistrano.
