 Corsini Elementary SchoolWith a growing student population and aging facilities, Julius Corsini Elementary School is undergoing a modernization program that will make the school site better able to meet the needs of its community—especially its students, teachers and parents. The modernization program will occur in four phases, thereby minimizing the disruption to the school’s regular schedule, and is scheduled to be complete in fall of 2003. Enter
Among the many improvements the modernization program will make include:

  • Replacing the existing relocatable classrooms with new 2-story, modular classrooms, resulting in 30 new classrooms
  • Improving parents’ on-site drop-off/pick-up zones and school bus circulation, resulting in increased pedestrian safety
  • Creating additional parking
  • Redesigning outdoor fields and hardscape areas for improved efficiency
  • Enhancing campus lighting
  • Improving disability access
  • Improving technology resources
It is the District’s goal to create a modern learning environment that supports the curriculum (and encourages student achievement), is safe for everyone and creates a sense of community among students, teachers, staff and parents. These objectives provide the framework within which the modernization program was developed.
